Directing is Matt Reeves, of Let Me In and Cloverfield previously, from a script written by Mark Bomback, Scott Z. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is the sequel to Rupert Wyatt's revival of the sci-fi franchise Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Besides Serkis, the apes cast includes Judy Greer as Cornelia & Toby Kebbell as Koba. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth's dominant species. Update! In all truth, I am exceptionally excited for this, one of the summer's highlights for sure. On the human side of things, Jason Clarke, Toby Kebbell, Keri Russell and Gary Oldman make up the main cast. ![]() There are so many amazing, chill-inducing shots in this trailer alone showing Caesar speaking, challenging the humans, and growing his own army. We've been waiting for this trailer for a while, and this one finally goes all out with the story and setup, and it looks incredible.
